Freelance Social Media Manager

Manages the social media media feeds for organizations ranging from nonprofits and foundations to skincare brands, a position which involves tasks such as content sourcing, content creation, daily posting and scheduling for platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Works with organizations to develop social media strategy and content plans specific to their goals and audience. Provides organizations with monthly or bi-monthly updates on content performance and new strategy recommendations.


Social Media Coordinator, WIRED

(Dec 2017 – Apr 2019)

Wrote social copy, created assets, and developed social strategy for social platforms and publishers including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Apple News, and other platforms. Collaborated with the design, photography, web production, and editorial teams to generate a variety of social-only or social-first content for WIRED’s platforms, specifically focusing on creating visual assets (illustrations, videos, behind-the-scenes content, photographs, etc.) that enhance WIRED’s storytelling as a brand. Coordinated the rollout of WIRED’s monthly print magazine across various social media platforms in conjunction with the web production team and the print editorial staff. Planned and executed the social media promotion and roll-out of speakers, events, and other information for the 2018 WIRED25, a three day conference and summit celebrating tech, media, and the future. Curated WIRED’s Instagram feed, often working with external photographers and artists to find and cross-post relevant social-first content that did not have a home on WIRED’s website.

Editorial Reporting Fellow, WIRED

Assisted the Alpha (Front of Book) editorial team with a variety of administrative and editorial research tasks. Pitched, reported, and wrote for the monthly print edition of WIRED magazine as well as the WIRED website. Worked with WIRED’s social media team to write copy and develop stories for Google’s STAMP (later renamed AMP) platform.
